I have the privilege
of being the State Coordinator for Men and Women
of Action in Indiana. Hugh Carver is the
International Director. My name is Jake Crafton.
My wife is Charlotte and our daughter is Lauren.
Lauren is married to Bart and Jacob Logan is my
grandson. My e-mail address is
Jcra955242@aol.com.
In addition, my phone number is 812-235-3092. I
live at 2404 Seabury Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana
47803.
My wife, Charlotte,
and I are members of the Terre Haute Church of God
located at 2501 Thompson Street in Terre Haute,
Indiana 47803. Our Pastor is Dennis Sanders, his
wife is Chrissy and their son is Josh.. The
church phone number is 812- 235-4324.
Now that the
introductions are completed, I request that you
take a break from the normal things that occupy
your time, sit back, relax and allow me the
privilege of communicating with you via ink and
paper. I understand that it will take a little
time to read this communication. At the same time
that I am writing, I am sitting at this
contraption wondering how you will receive this
unorthodox method explaining an unction which I
feel was given to me by the Holy Spirit. That
unction also involves a Missionary, a new Youth
Camp and you.
I received this
unction or direction from the Holy Spirit last
summer as I sat in the pew at my home church- last
pew on the right- with my wife Charlotte. We
listened to Sister Margaret Gaines speak on her
experiences as a Missionary of many years. It was
insightful and exciting to listen to her share the
feelings in her heart, and listen to the desire in
her voice. She shared about her preparation,
possessions and participation in Missionary work.
Although Sister
Gaines gave a beautiful and descriptive
perspective on Missionary
Service, sacrificial
giving, and adventure it was Indiana
Administrative Bishop Ronald Martin that captured
my thoughts, feelings and desire for this
communication. I want you to be blessed so the
entire world will see your joy. Missionaries are
at the top of my prayer list. There is no
gathering of Christians that have made a more
significant, positive and beneficial impact on the
world than this global team - givers of time,
talent, and treasure. In the arena of
Christianity there is none that compare to you.
Page 2
Brother Martin
introduced Sister Gaines - as is standard
operating procedure to show proper respect. She
gave her message. It was powerful, encouraging
and challenging to me - as a Christian seeking
other things to participate in besides being a pew
sitter. She spoke for the better part of thirty
minutes. Everyone was focused on her words of
zeal. She concluded and turned over the
microphone to Brother Martin who only said a few
concluding words. But those few words - just a
hand full at best- started something inside of me
that hasn’t went away since last summer.
By now you are
wondering what directional words this
distinguished gentleman spoke that has prompted
this communication to each of you. I will share
that a few paragraphs later in this communication.
I went to Church to hear about one Missionary- and
was glad that I did - but the Holy Spirit spoke to
me about a specific Missionary and a Youth Camp
located just minutes away from where I attend
Church.
This definitely
raises the excitement within ones being. Without
doubt you as a Missionary, Pastor or Outreach
worker have experienced this thrust of
encouragement and anticipation before you entered
Kingdom work - short term or long term. When the
Holy Spirit communicates one remembers what is
spoken. Sometimes we even ignore the Holy Spirit
even rationalizing to the point that He possibly
- just possibly - has made a mistake someway or
somehow in communicating to the receiver.
As simple as they
may sound, and uneventful as they might appear,
those words spoken by Administrative Bishop Martin
were some of the most powerful, directed,
challenging and thought provoking utterances of
communication that have penetrated my heart in
some time. Likewise, I trust that this
communication will penetrate your heart.
You know what I am
talking about: Words that speak directly to you,
personally. I am just like you. I will look
around and try to determine with whom the Holy
Spirit is talking, as if to avoid the possibility
that it just might be me. As you can tell I have
come to the conclusion that the words were for me
and included you. This conclusion comes after
avoidance, side stepping, telling myself that I am
too busy, that I could be wrong or could be using
incorrect procedure or possibly taking
unauthorized liberty with other Christians.
Brother Gerald Sams
is a Missionary and so are those who planted The
Friendly Benwood Community Christian Youth Camp
on thirty three acres of land in Clay County,
Indiana. This communication is about obedience,
sacrifice, and following the leading of the Holy
Spirit.
To my knowledge
there is only one way to find out if what you are
doing is right. It can be lumped into one word:
Participate. This communication is participation
oriented.
Page 3
I even approached my
Pastor - Dennis Sanders - a few weeks after Sister
Gaines’ sermon on her experiences. I spoke to him
as he leaned on the stair railing in front of the
Church office after service one evening. I watched
everything about him. I looked at his appearance,
body posture and his specific tilt of his head and
movement of his eyes. I
focused on the tone
of his voice, his attitude and gestures hoping
that he would tell me I was insane or just plain
ignorant. I thought he might even say, “laymen
don’t do that stuff.”
Usually my Pastor is
very talkative but the Holy Spirit must have put a
muzzle on him because he didn’t talk much. I
shared with him that I was going to write every
Missionary in the
Church of God, other Churches and specific
individuals to tell each about my unction or
direction which included them - that I received
sitting in the pew of the Church which he
Pastors.
I must say that I
enjoyed the expressions on his face as we
conversed. Actually, the facial expressions
inspired me to work very hard at accomplishing my
goal. Often we need not use verbal words to
inspire, challenge or encourage. Just a tilt of
the head or raising of the eyebrow will work to
deliver encouragement when the Holy Spirit is
involved.
“ I trust I have
your attention.”
Sister Gaines’
presentation, Brother Martin’s words and Pastor
Sanders’ directions got me thinking about the Men
and Women of Action Field Representative Gerald
Sams, each of you and The Friendly Benwood
Community Christian Youth Camp which is located in
Brazil, Indiana just a stones’ throw from my
residence. I hope you can spiritually see the
tilt of my head, the raising of my eyebrow and the
energy of my expressions as you consider what I am
attempting to communicate within these ink
splotches of anticipation.
Pastor Sanders’
advice was what I needed spiritually, but not what
I wanted to hear in the flesh. He gave me this
advice as he walked away from our conversation
thinking it was concluded. He never communicated
with me again about this directional unction from
the Holy Spirit that I was asking him about.
However, the Holy Spirit consistently prompts me
to act on the direction I received. I have only
one choice and that is to respond.
This letter is my
action following the prompting of the Holy Spirit
and after trying to talk to my Pastor informally
about what this layman should do with this
directional unction that arrived by special
delivery with no specific time table for me to act
or specific format to follow. Perhaps the Holy
Spirit is trying to find a place to go to work.
Perhaps He is seeking some believers that will
work a little overtime in the area of Personal
Outreach.
Page 4
Feelings like this
just do not happen by accident. I wanted my
Pastor to tell me I was nuts, or it wouldn’t fly
or say something like “you got to be kidding me.”
Thinking back - if Pastor Sanders would have done
that you wouldn’t be receiving this communication.
“God knows what is
going on.”
This didn’t happen!
Pastor Sanders said, “If God told you to do it
then I guess you might have to do it.” In
response - after a moment of reflection - I spoke
these words: “That I will.”
I do not think
Pastor Sanders knew he was giving me the
encouragement I needed to relieve this burden. I
rationalized - after all the worst thing that
could happen is I could
make a mistake - the
good thing would be that a Missionary by the name
of Gerald Sams and a new Youth Camp named The
Friendly Benwood Community Christian Youth Camp
would be blessed beyond measure. An outreach of
thinking and acting people - long and short term -
could be blessed worldwide.
The Holy Spirit
spoke to me that summer of 2003. I have
absolutely no idea why the Holy Spirit chose me,
but know full well why He has chosen the readers
of this communication to move ahead of the norm.
The task is to reach
out with more than words. The task is to be Men &
Women of Action. Nobody else heard it, but I felt
it and know it. Now I must move on it. Without
any doubt you understand what is being shared in
this letter.
When God speaks we
must move. We may not always receive crystal
clear procedures or methodologies but nonetheless
when the Holy Spirit tugs at one’s heart there is
nothing that will satisfy except participation.
The Lord is quite capable of telling you
personally what He desires. I am just trying to
do the part which is located in that sector of the
Word that talks about obedience. I am a layman
attempting obedience to the Holy Spirit.
God does not lie or
jerk us around but speaks to us thru the most
unlikely people at the most inconvenient times in
the most unorthodox of ways. Sometimes the Holy
Spirit uses tools we seldom think of as tools. One
just cannot limit the Holy Spirit or the way He
chooses to work.
The tools that I am
referencing are attitude, eye contact, gestures,
body posture, head tilt, money and an assortment
of other things we seldom look at: Perhaps this
letter will be used as a tool to accomplish some
Kingdom work. That will be exclusively up to you.
The Holy Spirit uses
wonderful people such as Herman Clegg, John and
Kathy Hayes, Ken Kincaid, Steve Crane, Dick
Burchell, Bill Reberger and Charles (Chuck)
Taylor to accomplish his will. I trust the Holy
Spirit will use this letter as a tool to
accomplish His
Page 5
will. I pray you
will allow Him to use you. Just a thought now:
“If this is the tool are you one of the
operators?”
We together can
bring significant, beneficial results to a Clay
County, Indiana, Youth Camp called The Friendly
Benwood Community Christian Youth Camp and a
Missionary named Gerald Sams. Corporately we can
do it.
But more importantly
I am trusting the Holy Spirit to bless every
Missionary, Missionary- minded person, and
Outreach acting individuals and Churches, that
take the time to participate in this request for
assistance. That’s right – this Camp in the
USA needs your
assistance. Brother Gerald Sams needs your
assistance. Each is a good investment. If you do
not have much, invest it. “Your little is a lot
to someone else.”
God can take your
nothing, transfer it to somebody else and obtain
magnificent results.
At this point in
this communication I want to tell you that I
specifically do not know to whom I am writing. I
am following the leading of the Holy Spirit to
send out this communication to the North, South,
East and West. I do know the first receivers in
each direction. After this element I have no idea
where this communication will arrive.
“Your nothing is
somebody’s something. But it only happens when we
let go of the nothing.”
I hope you
understand that I am chasing the Holy Spirit with
my fingers on this laptop as I pray and pen His
direction for me to follow in this communication
to you.
Exciting times await
all givers. The Holy Spirit can do a lot with a
little. “What you might consider nothing is
actually a big something to somebody else.”
When a whole lot of
people give a little a whole lot of people are
encouraged, blessed, refreshed, and excited about
visions, possibilities and destinies. Active
compassion starts working and soon active working
passion kicks in and Christianity is strengthened.
The Holy Spirit
still honors the Widow’s Mite. Perhaps you have a
widow’s mite in your possession. “She was a smart
lady.” You may think you have nothing to give, but
always remember “your nothing is somebody else’s
something.” Wonder what the widow felt before she
gave but-- more specifically-- after she gave the
mite?
She was a smart
lady- otherwise her act of giving –and all that
was involved- would have been put on the back
burner a very long time ago. We still talk about
her today. Wonder how many sermons have been
preached on this small section of scripture? We
talk about it because it works.
Page 6
Recently our Men’s
Ministry received an abundance of medical
equipment for free. At first I thought, “who in
the world is going to use this stuff?” Anyhow,
this medical equipment is going to a third world
country. This nothing is somebody’s something.
Some child without
legs will be riding in style in a mechanical
wheelchair.
A lady in Terre
Haute, Indiana called. She had lost a daughter to
Cerebral Palsy just three months ago. She donated
a practically new mechanical wheelchair in which
her daughter sat when she was alive. She said, “I
just had to give this to somebody that needs it.”
She was crying as she lifted that chair into my
van for transportation to Cleveland, Tennessee.
When you loose a child it is awful. I personally
know because I have walked in those shoes that Pat
is walking in now. One feels like they have
absolutely nothing. But, this is not the truth.
Here is the point:
She felt like she had nothing (let’s face it-a
wheelchair is nothing compared to a little girl’s
life), but Pat took that nothing ( a basically new
mechanical wheelchair) and shared her nothing with
somebody. The recipient will be a child in a
third world country that she perhaps will never
see or meet. Her nothing will be somebody’s
something. Powerful indeed. If this doesn’t
trigger some emotional response in your heart I
suggest to you that something is broken and needs
repair. If it does trigger emotion and compassion
I suggest you respond. It just might be the Holy
Spirit seeking participation from you too. Pat
participated. I will not forget her.
At this point in my
communication to you I feel awkward and unworthy,
a little below par and overwhelmed at this
opportunity and responsibility that will give the
devil a black eye. Think past your imagination.
Think past your frustrations. Think past your
agenda. Think past your assignment. Think past
your position, paid or unpaid. Think
past many more
obstacles and you will enter into a real spiritual
fight. It is possible for the poor, the hurting,
the neglected and the isolated to give.
Giving is not
restricted to those who have a lot. God doesn’t
put qualifiers like wealth, good looks, affluence
or social status on participation. I assume Luke
6:38 refers to one and all, regardless of social
status, affluence or Church position. This letter
is intended for receivers and responders. Age,
wealth, health, denomination are insignificant to
your participation.
This gathering of
words involves you and the Holy Spirit, period.
Nobody else is involved- just you and the Holy
Spirit.
One fellow short
term Missionary with the Men and Women of Action
called me just prior to leaving for “Emma’s Kids”
in Africa. I shared the vision and directional
unction of the Holy Spirit as we talked on the
phone. His name is Herman Clegg and he is working
with Men and Women of Action in Zambia, Africa.
The Friendly Grove Baptist Church assisted Herman
in purchasing a( bull calf) for the Church of God
facility that Ministers to many children. As you
can see (and know from first hand experience)
there
Page 7
is a need that goes
beyond our imagination worldwide. This was a big
purchase for those who had nothing. I must say in
all honestly that something is always more than
nothing and it is the something that makes the
difference. This is not only a fact, but a well
known fact.
This communication
is about something in your possession: LOVE. Love
can be expressed by words and by deeds. It can be
expressed by giving! otherwise, the example of
the Window’s Mite is of no importance. This
writer will use both words and deed in his
personal participation. I want to be the first to
give to this request for assistance. “I cannot
and will not ask you to do something that I will
not first do myself.”
Sometimes the
simplest things make the most significant
differences to people of service. I remember my
wife, Charlotte, putting together some spices for
John and Kathy Hayes, Missionaries in San Polo,
Brazil after being exposed to a need.
John and wife Kathy
visited our Church to offer thanks for the support
they received during the year. Kathy, not knowing
my wife, keyed into one thing – that spice rack.
As insignificant as it sounds to us in America
that spice rack, full of assorted spices made a
difference to that Missionary family. That spice
rack was something to John and Kathy.
This letter is
specifically made for Missionary minded and
Outreach oriented people worldwide. I am not
accustomed to using terms like worldwide,
directional unction, and possession. I feel a
little apprehension as I go someplace where I have
never been at any point in my Christian walk -
thru this communication to you. I think it is
time to move to the next level. I think you are
already there- I am just trying to catch up.
Please help me.
I know I have been
long winded and punched a lot of keys on this
laptop trying to explain myself as best I can so
that you will get a mental picture of what I am
expressing. I hope you get a chance to do what I
am attempting to do at some point in your
Christian walk.
Hopefully I have
laid a foundation for your understanding and
consideration of my request to each of you. Let
us move to more specific information now as we
continue to talk.
Brother Martin
simply stated these words: “Missionaries are the
most needy people in the world.” It was like a
2x4 hit me across the back of the head and said,
“listen up junior.”
I thought of the
Friendly Benwood Community Christian Youth Camp in
Brazil, Indiana. My thoughts then shifted to the
Men and Women of Action International Field
Representative, namely Gerald Sams and wife Betty.
It is amazing the amount of Ministry that is
generated by the Sam’s and the Youth Camp. Thank
you.
Page 8
I thought of the
hundreds of people both of these have blessed and
have received the witness of their actions as they
reach out past Church walls as an extension of
love.
Then a pressing,
convicting thought entered my spirit. It will not
be erased until assistance arrives. They could
use a helping hand from other Christians. This
communication is about assistance-a helping hand.
Participation is
that helping hand. The widow’s mite still has
superior ministering capabilities to both the
giver and the receiver. Wonder what would be the
benefit if all receivers of this communication
would actually give a window’s mite as the widow
actually gave personally. What if they would
truly stand on that portion of the Word found in
Luke 6:38 with no excuses or wavering of faith.
WOW! If she had given the mite to somebody else
to deliver would it have had the same effect on
her personally? She is not here but somehow,
someway the personal touch is still best to the
giver and the receiver.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I fully understand
that money in America and money in other parts of
the world is quite different in type and value.
Possessions are also viewed differently. I also
understand the needs are quite different. They
both need funding to operate. The only limitation
of this communication comes in human form. God
does not limit our giving. It is up to you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop: I do not
raise money for a living. I am a laymen. I work
on Men and Women of Action Projects. I am a
professional Painting & Wall Covering Contractor -
not a fundraiser. Please do not consider me as
such, but please do consider me as a laymen taking
action on something he received from the Holy
Spirit as he listened to Missionary Margaret
Gaines, Indiana Administrative Bishop Ronald
Martin and his Pastor Dennis Sanders as he
searched for confirmation to act. The Holy Spirit
working thru people can indeed inspire, motivate,
and cause us to get past the pew and into the
field.
Accomplishments are
only achieved when we participate. Anybody can be
on a team, but it takes a volunteer that
participates to win.

Pray About It, Don’t Give; Bottom Line; End Of

Apple A Day May Keep The Doctor Away But It Will
Not Keep The devil Away. It takes participation
to put that sucker in his place. Harry Swilly
another Man of Action, wrote devil on the sole of
his shoes and now walks on him daily.
I know without doubt
that the devil is about to raise his ugly head and
attempt to destroy the beauty, love and positive
results from your availability and reach.
Remember when he raises his ugly head this is the
best time to swat him, resist his offensive and
accomplish much. If he tries to stop your
participation in the following request, he is
doing it for a reason. With reference to the
devil, nothing occurs accidentally; he targets
Page 9
us. He has many
reasons to try to stop your participation but you
have many more reasons to participate. Think
about it. When this communication arrives on your
doorstep, mailbox or is put into your hand the
deceiver will go to work instantly. It is
you (specifically)
that can put him out of business on this project
by your sacrificial giving. Sacrificial giving is
not sacrificial giving unless it takes away from
one and benefits another. Giving is work. Giving
a Widow’s Mite is tough work.
This communication
is a Men and Women of Action project. I have
prayed about it, sought direction for it, laid a
foundation for it and now move forward building a
team of Widow’s Mite Givers that I do not even
know. Talk about an adventure.
Gerald and Betty
Sams and The Friendly Benwood Community Youth Camp
are the receivers of this request for a Widow’s
Mite. Next time it might be vice-versa.
Before my request
for your approval and action, I want to say a word
about possessions. Spiritually, everyone has a
gate in front of desire. Some are large and some
are small but we all have these gates. We are the
controller of the gate. We individually control
what goes in and what goes out of our gates. Here
is the kicker: It only opens or closes from the
inside. The lock is of interior design.
Wonder what kind of
blessings would arrive in America- then make a
return trip- to bless the needy and hurting that
are going to participate. I cannot wait to hear
the results. I am excited. Desire is no good
unless the gate is first unlocked and then
opened. Please push your gate open. Push it real
hard. Remember, there is a return. May we read
Luke 6:38 one more time. Read it again; let is
sink into your heart.
Do not put the Book
down. Read the chapter and verse one more time.
Now wait.
A wise man once
said, “The significant problems we face cannot all
be solved at the same level of thinking.” It
takes action to move to the next level. It is
work. Giving is work.
I personally have
learned that once people gain a sense of real
possession, they share very naturally, freely and
spontaneously. You have more than you think you
do. Even your nothing is something when the Holy
Spirit is involved. Share and see what happens
next!
The Holy Spirit
spoke to me about Gerald and Betty Sams, The
Friendly Bedwood Community Youth Camp,
possessions, participation and giving. I must
admit the Holy Spirit expanded my personal picture
of how I thought giving worked.
Remember that 2x4
that hit me in the back of the head and said?
“listen up junior?”
Remember that time
you didn’t move forward when prompted by the Holy
Spirit.
Page 10
Remember the faces
of the children and adults when they are blessed.
Remember the
feelings you feel when you give.
Remember the
satisfaction that comes from personal
participation.
Think back to the
day you were called to be a Missionary, Pastor or
became Outreach- minded, a true giver of time,
talent and treasure and not to omit any of the
three.
Think of the
blessings people have received because of your
sacrificial giving. It works.
If your sacrificial
giving didn’t or doesn’t work---------what are you
doing, why are you doing it and how are you doing
it?
Our missionaries are
in 163 countries. These Ministers did not get
there by themselves. The Holy Spirit working with
good leadership and personal givers of time,
talent and treasure was the catalyst. I am
asking that the Missionaries of 163 countries and
the short term Missionaries of Men and Women of
Action to participate with me, Gerald and Betty
Sams and The Friendly Benwood Community Christian
Youth Camp to accomplish all construction for this
facility.
This Youth Camp will
be able to accommodate three hundred youth or
adults. It has the capability to minister to
17,500 residents from a fifty mile radius.
Charles Taylor and myself were Project Leaders for
this camp in 2002. Construction has consistently
moved forward. The leaders of this camp are
givers.
You can see photos
on ctministries.net.
At the same time I
am asking you to personally bless Gerald and Betty
Sams, a man and woman who have literally given
their lives to others. They are givers. They
are mentors. We worked together on Project Firm
Foundation in Veedersburg, Indiana in August of
2004. They thought it was important to drive from
North Carolina and Minister to a small
congregation that needed assistance to complete a
project.
By the way this
Church fed five hundred people that month in
August. When you give you affect more than just
the receiver of your goodness. Did ya ever throw
a rock in the pond? Goes a long way doesn’t it -
especially after landing in the water. The effect
affects the landing zone for a long time.
I have been
instructed by Pastors in many sermons that we need
to give out of a need.
Do you have a need?
Page 11
Brother Martin said,
“The most needy people in the world are
missionaries.” I realized that the Holy Spirit
was also including those who are already giving of
their time, talent and treasure.
The Friendly Benwood
Community Christian Youth Camp and Gerald and
Betty Sams are examples of love in action.
Neither are needy in
zeal; both are needy in terms of prayer and funds
to accomplish what they feel is God’s will. Both
work very hard involving many people across and
around the world. Both have involved men, women,
boys and girls. Both need a Blessing; both need
it now. We need to see it, we need to do it, we
need to personally participate and we need to
accomplish it together.
We are taught that
it isn’t wise to ask lazy people to do anything,
but are taught to ask a busy person something and
it will be accomplished. You are busy people.
Once again, I do not
know why the Holy Spirit picked me to send you
this communication but I do know why he picked you
to receive it. “He simply wants to bless each of
you the Sams and the Camp at the same time.”
“That is correct: at the same time.” “ If you
participate it will happen.”
I know without doubt
that some will be offended by this communication.
I know some will not read it to the end. I know
some will throw it in the trash. I know some will
respond by saying, why me? I know some will
think I am nuts or going around leadership. Some
will throw a hand full of other excuses into the
pot. But the Holy Spirit spoke and I am moving. I
trust that you will move with me as we attempt to
bless somebody else.
Last words in
closing:
I am not a fund
raiser.
I am not a Pastor.
I am not a Deacon or
Elder.
But I am a Christian
and thankful for the opportunity to share with
you.
I am not a leader.
I am doing my best
to be a good layman. Laymen need help too.
I am acting on an
unction form God which is the subject of this
letter.
God still works this
way, doesn’t He? He speaks, then we respond.
Page 12
God still uses
people, doesn’t He?
God still speaks to
His people, doesn’t He?
God speaks to the
laity, doesn’t He?
He does it in His
own way, doesn’t He?
He still uses
willing vessels, doesn’t He?
It will be a long
time before we know all the ways in which the Holy
Spirit operates.
In this packet you
will discover four checks signed by me and my wife
Charlotte. They are made out to Men and Women of
Action for The Friendly Benwood Community
Christian Youth Camp and Gerald and Betty Sams.
I feel an obligation to be the first to give and
welcome the opportunity to give to each of these
generators of Kingdom Outreach.
My wife and I are
casting a seed with our Widow’s Mite. We wrote
four checks and are sending a copy with this
request for assistance to the North, South, East
and West. The actual checks will be mailed to the
Men and Women of Action.
It is time to whip
the devil. When you give you actually are
defeating the devil.
One gentleman told
me that when he feels pressure, not to give, he
kicks it up a notch and gives sacrificially. He
said, “It is always worth the effort.”
I am sending this
communication to one person to the North, one
person to the South, one person to the East and
one person to the West. If you receive this
communication it is within your capabilities to
participate. How much you participate is between
you and the Holy Spirit. Please use this material
to the best of your ability.
Let me be clear. Do
not send any money to me.
I heard James Deal
speak a message on the power of one. He was
talking about you.
You are one and have
in your power the ability to bless a Youth Camp
and a Missionary in a fantastic manner. You can
do it.
Information: “You
may use the video and written material in any way
you desire.”
Enclosed is a video.
It is a Men and Women of Action video of two
projects. Project # 1 is the Youth Camp.
Project # 2 is Project Firm Foundation. Brother
Sams with wife Betty were Project Leaders on this
project. He is the blonde headed gentleman
drinking a cold drink after a very hard day’s work
in hot, humid conditions.
Page 13
Both videos will
take about fifteen minutes to view. This is a
good investment. Take the time to get a visual
picture and see what these Christians are doing
with their time, talent and treasure.
This will give you
some understanding of what the Youth Camp and the
Sams are about.
Please take the time
to pray about what you can do to assist each of
these givers of time, talent and treasure.
It is said that
shoes come in lefts and rights. If giving is a
left and receiving is a right that makes a pair.
The Camp and the Sams are the left in this article
and you are the right. One without the other is
at a disadvantage.
But together you
make a pair that satan cannot defeat.
Please send all
support to Men and Women of Action PO Box 2430
Cleveland, Tennessee 37320 (423-478-7955). Specify
on your check that it is for the Sams and the
Friendly Benwood Community Christian Youth Camp
(or FBCCYC).
The Men and Women of
Action Office will then disperse all funds
received to The Friendly Benwood Community
Christian Youth Camp 525 E. County Road 1200
North Brazil, Indiana 47834 (812-442-5685) and to
International Field Representative Gerald Sams 5
Meadowknoll Candler, North Carolina 28715
(828-665-2123)
All funds that are
sent to the International Offices (MWOA) will be
dispersed equally between the Camp and the Sams.
Each will use the funds in Ministry.
Thanks for
tolerating this assortment of words otherwise know
as real conviction in action.
I end this request
for assistance with what one friend used to tell
me when I would ask him, “What’s the good word
for today?” He said, “Use what you got and God
will give you more.” The Camp and the Sams have
used what they have; perhaps you are the specific
individual to offer a Window’s Mite to Christian
Servants in the name of Jesus.
If you use what you
got then God will give you more.
In this
communication I have attempted to use what I have
in my possession.
